Fast Flash is a self-adhesive, stretchable aluminium mesh encapsulated into a polymer rubber. Both of these materials are environmentally friendly and UV resistant. The butyl backed Fast Flash will adhere to most substrates including brick, tile, slate, glass and most metals. Fast Flash can be cut with tin snips, scissors or a craft knife. When applying Fast Flash, the protective film should be removed from the butyl backing. The adhesive strength will be most effective when applied at a temperature over 5°C. In order to increase the adhesive strength you can heat the butyl with a hot air gun. When joining lengths, an overlap of at least 30mm should be applied. No allowance needs to be made for expansion.
