Description:

Gate Valves come with two types of connections either Female BSP on both sides which range in size from 3/8” through to 2” or with compression connections either side which range in size from ½” through to 2” and 15mm through to 28mm. Gate Valves when fully open offer no resistance to flow they don’t have a washer but have a circular wedge shaped gate which closes into a matching wedge shaped seating when the valve is closed. These valves should not be fitted in horizontal pipeline when possible to prevent dirt and sludge settling in the seat of the valve preventing it from shutting properly.
